Neath Mailing Service
Victim No 1 - Ania
"As for companies who promise you work from home - how about Neath Mailing Service. In their adverts they promise to pay you £130 per 100 envelopes and ask you to forward an SAE for more details. You then receive a brief letter which doesn't really explain what exactly you need to do so you need to pay a registration fee of £9:99 to receive further details. After this payment they will send you a booklet explaining that what they are doing is building up a mailing list which they sell; and your job is to put an advert similar to theirs promising exactly the same pay but with your own address and after you get a response from some poor sucker like myself, you just forward their letter to them and they will do the rest (send a booklet out after the person has paid £9:99). That is how you earn your money and they will refund the registration fee after the first 150 envelopes!!!! I didn't bother with it because I didn't want anybody to waste £9:99 on this. Their advert still appears in my local paper every week, and I wonder how much money that have made".

I too got stung with Neath Mailing services. I saw their advert for
£130 for every 100 envelopes and as I work shifts I thought that this would be a good
opportunity to make some extra money. Anyway, I sent off my SAE and then I got a leaflet
back asking me for a cheque for £14.99 - Which I foolishly sent. Two days later the
cheque was cleared from my bank account but I never received any further details. That was
two months ago. I tried to call them but only get an answerphone message - I have written
to them but never
received a reply. I even sent a letter recorded delivery letter - but still got no reply -
can companies actually get away with things like this in this day and age?
Our Reply: I'm afraid that they are getting away with it. We hear of so many people who's' only wish is to legitimately work from home being scammed by these and other unsavoury characters.

I too have fallen into the trap of thinking something was too good
to be true. If these opportunities sound too good to be true then they usually are.
I am saving for a house and want to work from home in my spare time and Neath Mailing
Services sounded the perfect option.
But as we have all found out it's just one big circular scam with all these people paying
£9.99 and more and not actually getting anything in return. It infuriates me that
these companies take advantage of
desperate people.

Having read the letter from Neath Mailing Services, quoting itself
as "the most respected name in the business",
I was very surprised when doing a search on the internet to find a "hit"
directing me to your web site.
Unfortunately I have already written out the cheque and returned it to them and now feel
extremely foolish. The
cheque has cost me £7 to cancel, but do I care - no. I would rather that my bank had the
money than them!
Our Reply: I'm so pleased that we have been able to help you.
Even though your bank got the money

I would just like to say, thank God for the internet and people like yourselves. I too sent off for details of Neath mailing services. As I'm a single mum on benefit I thought it would be a great way of earning a bit of extra cash even when the kids are on holiday. I've heard so many bad reports about home working, that as soon as I received the forms from Neath today I thought i would check it out first. All i can say is (again) thank God i did. As you have just saved me money that i couldn't afford to part with in the first place!
Our Reply: Aww thanks, We are pleased that we helped

Thank God for your website! I was practically on my way to the bank but being sceptical of all these claims, and very vague claims at that i decided that i would run a little search first. the whole mailing thing just seemed like it could be the perfect thingfor me, i am unemployed at the moment and thought that this might be a way to get in a few extra quid!
Thank you for saving me from parting with cash that i can't afford to just send off willy nilly, don't companies like this have a conscience at all?
Thanks again hea!

Thank you!!! I too was almost one of the unfortunate people to send away my £14.99 before I did an internet search looking for the Neath Mailing Service website which brought me too you. I'm very grateful that you have set up this site and suggest you put an advert into the recruitment papers which advertise the mailing service in order to warn people of the scam!
Once again thankyou

First of all thank you for being on the Internet! I live in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, North Wales and an advert appeared in our local paper for Homeworkers. Great opportunity I thought for earning a little extra to boost my wages! Anyway I sent off for the details and in little over a week had the three page A4 details back headed " EARN £260 PER TWO HUNDRED" etc. etc. I read the details three times looking for the catch and couldn't find one! The only catch I could see was the £14.99 deposit required plus £4.99 special offer for "The Homeworker's Directory". They even promised to refund the deposit after I had submitted just 40 envelopes back to them! To add to any temptation I might have felt, they stated "Don't be disappointed apply within 9 days, all orders being accepted within this period". Thank goodness I had the sense to check it out first, even though my cheque book was at my side waiting to sign up and make my fortune! I feel so sorry for all the people who must have taken that extra step and sent their cheques off. I should have listened carefully to my Mum, she said it would be a scam! I hope that those involved in setting up this scam sleep well at night, trouble is they probably do!!
Thanks again for saving me and all the others from disappointment!

Have just avoided enriching these jokers by £14.99 after reading your excellent site. I intend to let the owner of the shop where I saw the advert know it's a scam. Hopefully he will take the advert down and stop these people preying on the desperate and gullible! Keep
up the good work
